A Bit About Fred Love

Senator Fredrick J. Love was elected to the Senate in 2022 and was sworn in on January 9, 2023. He represents District 15, which includes parts of Little Rock and Pulaski County.  Senator Love is the Senate Minority Whip of the 95th General Assembly. He served in the House of Representatives from 2011 through 2022, when he was a member of the Joint Budget Committee, the Joint Committee on Advanced Communication and Information Technology, the House Education Committee, and the House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee.

Senator Love graduated from Joe T. Robinson High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He has also earned a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Public Health from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and attended Harvard Kennedy School for Senior Executives in State and Local Government.

Senator Love is a Prince Hall Mason of Arkansas and a Past Master of the Prince Hall Masonic Order. His previous volunteer service includes membership on the boards of Carelink, Women and Children First, and the Pulaski County Child and Youth Services Advisory Board, where he served as parliamentarian.

Senator Love and his wife, ShaRhonda, attend Greater Second Baptist Church. They have a son, Fredrick II, and a daughter, Millicent.
